SON raids Wuse market, confiscates substandard goods

“We have been enlightening the public and this is a way to ensure that the organisation can bark and bite at the same time. The market raid is to send signal to people that it is no more business as usual,” he said.

He therefore urged consumers to always ensure that they only buy NIS mark of quality.

One of the traders, Alhaji Aliyu Wada admitted that he was aware that some of the shaving sticks confiscated from his shop at Wuse Market were of low quality because, “some of the shaving sticks break when being used.”

Similarly, another trader, Bello Shuabu, said he knew that the products confiscated were “not good but the time it was brought I travelled to Saudi Arabia.”
